The Busti Story
Once owned by the Ostrom Family, the property was purchased by Harold and Dan Johnson in 1974. The father and son team began building their inventory of salvage cars. The salvage yard business was not new to Harold. He and his twin brother Harry had been business partners of Twin Auto in Frewsburg, NY. Eventually, the brothers split ways on that business and Harold began his new venture. But this time with a very unique business model. A salvage yard specializing in Ford cars/trucks only, something no other yard around had done before.
As the business grew so did the need for an employee. In their search for the right person, they came across Pete Eyler. Pete had spent the prior 10 years working in a salvage yard in nearby Sugar Grove, PA. Pete's previous experience in the salvage business left Dan and Harold more time to enjoy rebuilding salvaged cars or resale. Years later, Pete was ready for his next venture and wanted to start his own shop. Dan and Harold not wanting to see Pete leave, offered to sell the business.
In 2005 Pete purchased the business and changed the name to Busti Auto Parts and Repair, and added a repair shop to the facility. Building a business built on honesty and Pete's extensive knowledge of Fords, the repair shop quickly grew. Over the years our reputation for honest, quick repair has continued to expand. Our facility is equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment and has the ability to perform OEM programming for Fords as well as repairs to ALL MAKES AND MODELS!
Today, Pete and his sons, who now manage the business have kept the legacy of the small town, family owned shop the Johnson's were also known for.
